Raiffeisen Waren GmbH opens new warehouse in Fritzlar
July 3, 2025
Fritzlar – Raiffeisen Waren GmbH has officially put its new warehouse facility at the Fritzlar site into operation. Around 200 guests took the opportunity to tour the new general cargo hall, the seed processing facility, and the newly constructed fertilizer hall. The company invested a single-digit million euro amount to sustainably modernize the site and prepare it for future requirements.
Regional Manager Philipp von Dalwig presented the structural innovations: high-bay shelving systems are being installed in the general cargo hall to enable efficient storage of palletized goods such as animal feed. The new seed processing facility allows farmers to have their own grain cleaned, processed, and treated so it can be resown the following year. In addition, seven storage bays were created in the new fertilizer hall, ensuring optimized and safer storage of various types of fertilizer.
“We are satisfied with the result,” von Dalwig stated at the opening.
Martin Warburg, Head of the Agriculture Division, provided information on current developments in the grain market and gave recommendations on marketing strategies. In addition, Christian Mander and Martin Christensen explained the planned processes and traffic routes during the harvest season to ensure smooth operations.
Construction work on the new warehouse began in the spring, with the goal of completion by June/July. Continuing construction during the harvest season was not possible, as von Dalwig had explained in advance.
