Meadow Championship of the Landscape Conservation Association Kassel – Congratulations to the winners!

The Landscape Conservation Association of the Kassel District e.V. hosted the first-ever Meadow Championship in the Kassel district this year. Farmers could register their most beautiful and species-rich meadows for the competition, which were then inspected by an expert jury in June. This year’s Meadow Championship of the Landscape Conservation Association of the Kassel District focused on appreciating species-rich, sustainably managed meadows. Among other criteria, the botanical diversity, ecological significance, and sustainable use of the meadows were evaluated. The goal of the competition is to highlight the important role these meadows play for nature conservation and agriculture.
We at Raiffeisen Waren GmbH are proud to support this competition and had the honor of presenting a prize of €600 to the winner of the 1st place on Tuesday, September 9, at the winning meadow in Trendelburg-Sielen.
The 2nd place prize was sponsored by Volksbank Kassel Göttingen, and the 3rd place was awarded by the Landscape Conservation Association of the Kassel District e.V. itself.
